A landmark book on the sociological phenomena of 1950’s corporate workers & the suburbs.  It’s importance in American culture deemed worthy of entry in the Smithsonian Collection permanent collection.
Whyte wrote the The Organization Man after studying the phenomena of Post War Park Forest, IL, a south suburb of Chicago, for four 1953 Fortune Magazine articles. Photographer, Dan Weiner acompanied Mr. Whyte, and took what have become iconic photographs of mid-20th Century Suburbia.
